Gang-gang Cockatoo

The gang-gang cockatoo is a small and compact cockatoo found only in southeastern Australia. Primarily scaly gray-green; adult male has bright red ‘helmet’ and fluffy crest.  Gang-gangs are found in cooler and wetter forests and woodlands of Australia, particularly alpine bushland. The Gang-gang Cockatoo is the faunal emblem of the Australian Capital Territory.
